 WAKEFIELD
was established in Japan in 1978 as Wakefield Marine Japan Ltd.
and was initially engaged in Technical Consulting, Supervision of
Ship New Buildings and Repairs, as well as importer of parts and
machinery mainly from Europe.
The
company was re-established as WAKEFIELD CORPORATION in December
1993, and WAKEFIELD is now a designer and manufacturer of
maintenance machines for Diesel Engines, s.a., Cylinder Liner Honing
Machines, Exhaust/Inlet Valve Seat and Spindle Grinders, Surface
Grinders, Portable Lathe Machines and other specialized Grinding
Machines. All products are designed, developed and manufactured
by WAKEFIELD and patented both locally and internationally
for several of the products.
WAKEFIELD
engineers are also available to attend in-situ Honing and
Grinding work from the head office in Yokohama and from our service
stations around the world.
Our
customers include all major engine makers, ship yards, ship owners
and power plant operators in Japan and the Far East.
